A group of mostly Black and Latino activists took to the streets of Downtown Los Angeles to demand better working conditions and more opportunities for employment. The downtown rally ran concurrently with three dozen other national demonstrations from New York, to Chicago.

In this report, we speak with Alondra Beccera, a marching activists with the Fight for 15 coalition. She shares the struggles of gentrification. We also speak with Pastor William D Smart, and how the march marked the death of Martin Luther King Jr and his fight for economic justice.
